Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Regulations
• With effect from July 2007, the UK’s Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Regulations require that all producers and distributors of electrical equipment are now required to achieve a high level of collection of WEEE for treatment, recovery and environmentally sound disposal and to minimise the disposal of WEEE as unsorted municipal waste.
• Look out for the crossed wheeled bin symbol on electrical goods.

• This symbol means that you should NOT put this item in your normal household waste bin, but rather dispose of it in an environmentally sound manner to help avoid potential harmful effects on human health and to prevent damaging the environment due to the presence of hazardous substances in EEE.
• Not all council sites have suitable facilities to collect all types of Waste Electrical and Electronic (WEEE) goods but to find your nearest participating site (including other collection facilities that may not be operated), please visit
www.recycle-more.co.uk and have your postcode ready to use in the “recycling facilities locator”.

• If you are purchasing new Electrical or Electronic Equipment (EEE)
from PointPharmacy.com of equivalent type and function to existing equipment, and are unable to dispose of the existing equipment locally then we are able to take back that equipment at no charge to you, the purchaser, for suitable onward disposal. i.e. this is for equipment on old for new, like for like EEE basis. In this case contact us on telephone number 0845 257 6026 begin_of_the_skype_highlighting 0845 257 6026 end_of_the_skype_highlighting or email
info@pointpharmacy.com for the most suitable option for take back of the WEEE.
