Description

Dioralyte Relief is recommended for the treatment of diarrhoea and rapid rehydration and helps watery stools return to normal more rapidly. During diarrhoea the body loses water and salts and Dioralyte Relief replaces these whilst at the same time helping watery stools return to normal more rapidly. Early use is important to avoid dehydration especially in the young and elderly.

Precautions: If you suffer from phenylketonuria you should not use Dioralyte Relief.

If you are suffering from intestinal obstruction, renal or liver disease or condition
with disturbed electrolyte balance ask your doctor before using Dioralyte Relief.

What is the difference between Dioralyte™ and Dioralyte™ Relief?
Both Dioralyte™ and Dioralyte™ Relief are Oral Rehydration Therapies, designed to contain the right balance of elecrolytes (mineral salts) and water to aid rehydration.

Can I give Dioralyte™ rehydration treatment to my child?
Dioralyte™ is suitable for adults and children of all ages. You should seek medical advice before using Dioralyte™ for children up to 2 years of age.
Dioralyte™ Relief is suitable for adults and children over 3 months. If your child is aged between 3 months and 1 year, you should seek medical advice before using Dioralyte™ Relief.

Do I need a prescription?
You do not need a prescription, both Dioralyte™ and Dioralyte™ Relief are available 'over the counter' at your local pharmacy or in the supermarket healthcare aisle.

How much water should I add?
Dilute one sachet of either Dioralyte™ or Dioralyte™ Relief with 200ml water. It is designed to contain the right balance of electrolytes (mineral salts) and water to help rehydrate during and after your diarrhoea. Follow the instructions on the leaflet if you need further guidance.

I'm pregnant - can I use Dioralyte rehydration therapy?
Both Dioralyte™ and Dioralyte™ Relief may be used during pregnancy or whilst breast feeding but only on medical advice. Speak to your pharmacist or GP if you have any concerns.

Can I mix the product with other drinks or baby milk?
Dioralyte™ and Dioralyte™ Relief have been clinically proven to provide effective rehydration when mixed with 200ml of fresh drinking water. It should not be mixed with any other liquids.

Should I use bottled water?
Dioralyte™ should be mixed with 200ml of fresh drinking water (or bottled water). For infants and where drinking water is unavailable, the water should be freshly boiled and cooled before mixing with Dioralyte™. The solution itself must not be boiled.

Should I give the same amount to my child?
Depending on the age and weight of your child, a reduced dose of Dioralyte™ or Dioralyte™ Relief should be administered. Please see information leaflet for details or consult the following number for further advice: 01483 505515. Alternatively speak to your GP, health professional or pharmacist about the correct dose for your child. This is especially important if you are giving Dioralyte™ to an infant.

How long after mixing Dioralyte™ can I leave it to stand before drinking?
Dioraltye™ and Dioralyte™ Relief: The solution should be made up immediately before use. Any liquid not consumed after one hour of mixing (or 24 hours if immediately refrigerated) should be discarded

Returns

When you are returning goods, the credit will be made to the appropriate payment card or account used for the original purchase and please allow up to 2 weeks. A copy of the original invoice must also be sent with the returned product and all returns should be posted to the following address.
